I was last week when I realized I desperately needed a present for
my best friend for her birthday. We met back home in Italy the country when I came from. Surprisingly enough, we met in rather awkward circumstances that is in a long queue to the toilet and we were arguing who was to go first.But we hit it off immediately and made friends very quickly . It all happened 10 years ago while we were still teenagers.I had known her for ages then so the present for her birthday had to be something special. However, as the money was tight and I was
crazy busy at work I was tearing my hair out as I had no idea what
when and where to buy . I had to confess that I even thought about paying somebody to do that for me as I was as busy as bee but then I realized how bad it would be and I put myself in my friend's shoes so I decided not to do that. Then, all of a sudden I saw this advertisement in a local
newspaper about the auction taking place in the building literally
next to the place where I was staying. I was passing by this very building every day not being aware what was going on inside.I didn't really expect to buy
anything there but as I didn't have much choice so I decided to try. To
my surprise, there was a lot of people there buyers as well as
sellers. The most amazing thing about the auction was that all of the
objects like vases ,furniture,artificial flowers, shelves, tables, chairs, lamps,mirrors, glasses, paintings, amber jewelry were found in the attic
and people simply wanted to get rid of them. It was unbelievable what
one could find at the auction! I did manage to spot a cracking
bargain and I bought a lovely silver ring with an inscription inside
saying: " to my very best friend".I was sure my friend would be
overjoyed and I wasn't wrong.She said I had to know her very well as I gave her exactly what she wanted. I was taken aback by what I found there. Try it for yourself then you never know
what kind of treasure people may keep in the attic. What one perceives as rubbish others may see as treasure!
