A 14 year old girl is at a stage which can best be described as volatile. This is because they are discovering new things about themselves and about life. It is not easy being a 14 year old girl and, all people who have passed through this stage will tell you. You are torn between adulthood and childhood. It is not always a gloomy scenario and, you can learn to overcome some of the challenges that present themselves during this stage. Therefore if you are a 14 year old girl, you should take the following advice. First, identify what your problem is. There are so many problems and the leading one is a feeling of not belonging. You will feel very lonely as you start to communicate with your parents and, the rest of the world. In often times, young girls will start to question their beauty and, feel like they do not meet the standards of being beautiful.
Feeling like this is perfectly normal and it is as a result of the physical and emotional transition to adulthood. It is vital to empower your teenage daughter with the right information and more so love. You need to always be on the neutral side instead of appearing to be too judgmental. However, as I focus on the girls, they should be ready to face their problems and speak them out. Many times, the girls will not want to talk to particular people and, this can prove to be very lonely. The parents are the last people the girls would want to confide in. Therefore, make sure you are the kind of parent who is open minded. There has been a debate that rages on about whether parents should be friends with their children. The best thing is to strike a reasonable balance between friendship and parenthood. You need to be a disciplinarian and at the same time a friend who is reliable. When girls face the problem of low self view or a low self esteem, they tend to shy away from it and keep it locked inside. Girls are advised to be more open on these things and, they will find help. When they speak out on what they are feeling, they will be in a position to allow others to encourage and direct them.
However, most teens will only open up to fellow peers. This is because they can relate from the same level. Most peers will not have what it takes to handle the problem and they might not offer a good solution. There are several things you can do to make sure you fit in somewhere. First, consider what you like. They may be hobbies or interests. Sports are a good way to vent out your problems at the same time providing a sense of belonging. Therefore, if you love football, make sure you try hard and join a team at school. There are so many things that sports will teach you about life like discipline and hard work. If you are an artistic person, make sure you join an art class and you will not be disappointed. You will have fun doing what you love and you will not have time to worry.
