I was listening to the radio one day tuning in to my favorite radio station when I heard this funny ad from a world renowned soda manufacturer. I really found it amusing for I can’t seem to stop smiling afterwards. The ad goes something like this:
“Do you know what is the difference between an ordinary person from a star? An ordinary person with a zit will get this response from another: ‘Oh. You have a zit. It is no big deal. It will be gone before you know it.’ A star that is seen walking down the street in public with a zit will get this response: ‘Newsflash! This just came in! Star Blah Blah of the summer hit movie Ugliest Dudette Part V has a zit, and from the looks of it, it is a truly ugly zit. Sources say that it is a big yellow zit that might explode like Mt. Vesuvius any second! What was she doing walking in the street looking like that? Can she not spend her money for a dermatologist or perhaps a really big hat? Stay tuned tomorrow for any updates on the condition of her zit.’ ”
I almost choked while eating breakfast but that ad really hit home. Because of their fame, stars have no more privacy. Photographers follow them everywhere and take pictures at whatever they are doing. A star can’t even roll his eyes without the whole world knowing about it. We can even see stars breaking down because of too much public scrutiny. I vowed there and then that even though I look like Brad Pitt (hahaha) and may earn gazillions of money and have Angelina Jolie look alike girls fall all over me, I will never want to become a star. Money can never buy happiness and all I ant are simple things, the simple joys of life.
If I become a star, I might lose the pleasure of having my solitary walks in a crowded downtown area. I can never go inside a bookstore, stay there for hours and just browse around for a new title to buy. I could never dress up sloppily for fear that by the next day my ugly face and appearance will be all over the news.
But what I would most of all is playing my favorite Bratz games. You heard correctly, my friend, Bratz games. I would play Bratz games for hours straight without a break. The games in Bratz games are varied enough to keep me hook. I have heard about this Bratz games from my sister who also loves playing it and since I can never follow playing complicated games, this game got me really hook on playing because of its simple gameplay and uncomplicated graphics. (The games are all developed using flash) All I did was click or double click and I am already having fun. So if you ask me to change places with Tom Cruise or Will Smith, I say this: “Go ahead. You first.”
