There are loads of Bogus relics and fake articles around but contained in this article are a few ways to avoid the Junk and get your own slice of history to own forever.

We are very lucky in the U.K, not only are we the most respected Musical nation in the world but we have a huge wealth of rock history and this fact has paved the way for the Music Relic market to flourish not just on U.K soil but also abroad.

Where there are markets there are usually dealers abusing the system and in the relic world it is alot easier for dishonest people to take advantage than other industries so how can you avoid the rubbish and secure yourself a piece of history that you know is real?

Well firstly before you buy anything do your homework... for example if your buying a guitar that Jimmy Hendrix used in 1969 Woodstock then go and find picture of the article check the colour and model,if your buying a Record contract from the Beatles Revolver era then check the signature against archive picture.. do they look similar? Ask the seller if he has an Eil certificate or any other documentation.

Of course the best way to put any relic through its paces is to have it Authenticated by an independent third party, this can cost alot of money depending on the item and time it will take but that piece of mind is priceless.

So before you buy any relic more than 20 years old have it authenticated or at least do your homework.
