In the 21st Century clothing has become rather a huge authority over how people perceive other people. It’s a big statement that the majority of people in the world pay notice to more and more as the years pass by, whether you buy from high quality, reputable merchants such as Armani or look at the inexpensive clothing lines perhaps from a local store or even a market stall.

What is behind this fad of looking superior in designer brands though? The one key issue is purely that celebrities wear high fashion clothing and accessories so numerous people want to go down that line of being like one. Some just do it for the brand name behind it, a self-assurance boost to show other people that they can manage to pay for designer clothing and to boast how good they look in it, then finally others just like the quality of material.

So this now prompts the query has designer clothing become more of a status symbol rather than people buying goods simply for quality? In my opinion I think people buy the likes of Armani for a bit of both and the name does sell for itself. In the modern world I have to say that designer clothes are more of a status symbol than anything else, you can put the same rule to a person who goes out and buys an Aston Martin, the majority of time they will do it to look better than others and to brag about what they can buy more-so than taking into account of what they are accepting for £100,000.
